Planning a budget is usually a bit eye opening experience for many clients as sometimes we just don't realize what the cost of ‘Stuff’ (i.e.: things going into your space) really is. It's easy to toss out a number that "seems fair" but without knowing the cost of each item, it would prove to be futile. Instead we like to do a quick "Budget On The Fly", based on the scope of work, at our Design Discovery consultation so that you can gain a more realistic perspective of what to expect to pay for your unique project. For more in depth projects or those that require any type of construction, we offer a separate service where we conduct an ‘Exploratory Research’ outside of our meeting to deliver a more accurate budget for you. The benefit is that you can make proper decisions on how best to prioritize your finances and avoid costly mistakes all before breaking ground. Details of this are outlined under our Services section.
-
We operate on a fixed fee basis and it varies as it is determined by the scope, size, budget and our efforts involved for each project and therefore is customized to every client. In most cases we do offer an ‘Exploratory Research’ first to establish a more accurate budget as means of you getting a better handle on costs and timelines before we delve deep into design.

Purchasing is implemented as part of our full-service design and our Furnishings service. We present you with a separate Purchasing agreement and furnishings are invoiced at the time of approval with full payment in advance and are sold to you at retail or less. Our procurement service includes confirming all of the specifications, submitting payment, and order tracking. Deliveries are made to local receivers who offer white glove delivery and will unpack and inspect each item upon arrival and store these items until you are ready for them. Once all furnishings have arrived at the warehouse, and the project is ready for installation, we will schedule an installation day and supervise the installation with our own professional organizing and styling for the final reveal.
-
This varies based on project size and scope. For new builds and large remodels, whole homes typically range from 1 to 2 years. Smaller projects and individual spaces typically take 8 to 12 weeks for the design phase only. Timelines are unique to each project and will vary. Decision making, custom pieces, material and furniture availability, shipping and deliveries can all delay a project especially in our current climate. However our team does everything we can to keep open communication on progress and providing solutions in order to make this an enjoyable and smooth process as possible.

If you were a client that is out of town and want to shop at mainstream or lower-end retail stores, then distance design service would be the way to go. Distance design is where we do everything virtually. We'll look at pictures of your space, you provide us with measurements, we create electronic renderings, and then send over all of the shop links for you to purchase and install. We do not oversee these jobs, but rather hand them over to you once the design phase is complete for you to implement!
Full service Design is where we manage your job from start to finish and are selling you products that are sold to the trade only. This is for clients with larger jobs, larger budgets, and often less time to deal with the hassles that come along with ordering, tracking, and installation.

We work alongside other trades and professionals but our collaboration with you is close. We treat each project, as if it were our own space and therefore take pride in what we do and how we operate. We take the time to get to know you, figuring out what’s important to you and how you live in your space. We also have lots of decisions to make and sometimes in a short space of time, so your co-operation, prompt feedback and open communication will help to move the project along in the timeframes outlined. Rest assured whether you are intimately involved or operating from arms length we do our best to see after every detail and present you with the home of your dreams.
CLIENT ENDORSEMENT
“What Danaë did seemed like magic.”
Danaë designed and oversaw the remodeling of our small apartment. What she did seemed like magic. They managed to creatively transform our cramped, dark kitchen and dining area into a warm, open and functional space with loads of storage. Our living area was spruced up, and upstairs a corner that seemed like wasted space was converted into a very functional home office space. And our bathroom was given a completely new look and feel.
Some of the things that impressed us the most were the many little ideas that each made life easier, the overall creative solution, level of organization and excellent management of the actual works, which left us free to carry on with our busy lives. They were very professional and easy to work with. Very importantly for us, they listened to what we wanted.
The overall transformation (we keep using that word because there is no better way to describe it) of our apartment had us in shock, with a few tears. We were so pleased with their work that we decided to utilize them for the interior design of our new home.
